Temperature:
Koh Lanta is well and truly tropical! There are two distinct seasons, hot & dry (Nov to Apr) and hot & wet (May to Oct). Rarely does the temperature drop below 27C (80F) year round. During the high season, (Nov to Apr) expect bright & sunny day after day, with temperatures rising throughout, right up to 38-40C (100-105F) in April. The low (or green) season, does have rain, however this is not relentless and you will find plenty of glorious weather to enjoy.

Visas:
Visitors from most countries are given a visa upon arrival to Thailand. If you arrive by air, it is for 30 days. If you arrive by land, you get a 15 day visa. Other visas (for lengthier stays) can be applied for at Thai consulates (Penang, Malaysia; Singapore; or your home country) or another 15 day visa can be obtained at any land boarder.
