PADI Dive Courses & Options

We offer the full range of PADI dive courses.  Where could be better to learn or hone your diving skills than the Andaman Sea? We keep student groups very small, with typically only one or two students with each dive instructor (maximum 4), ensuring a very high level of personal attention and the best possible learning environment for you, the student.

​Advanced Open Water

If you're already enjoying exploring the underwater world with your Open Water Diver certification, you may be thinking of taking your knowledge and skills to the next level and become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver! The great news is that you don't need to be a PADI Open Water Diver to complete the Advanced Open Water Diver course - we can accept equivalent (or higher) diving qualifications from other certification bodies.  Certified to dive to 30m, the Advanced Open Water Diver course will not only improve your diving knowledge and skills, it will boost your confidence underwater and introduce you to many new specialist areas such as Search and Recovery, Underwater Photography, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving and much more.​​

​Open Water

The PADI Open Water Diver course is your key to a new and exciting world of underwater adventure with an internationally recognized PADI Open Water Diver Certification.

We offer the PADI Open Water Diver course over a 3 or 4 day period .

​

You'll learn the basic theory and safety rules of scuba diving, get to practice underwater skills in shallow water (either in a swimming pool or down at the beach) and then it's out on our luxury speedboat for 4 fantastic dives around some of the best dive sites that Thailand has to offer.​

​Discover SCUBA Diving​

Never tried  diving before? Here on Koh Lanta we are very lucky to have some superb, safe and shallow dive sites covered with coral and tropical marine life which are an ideal place to try scuba diving for the first time.

​

Our PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) one day program includes 2 full dives at Koh Haa, the Bida Islands or Koh Phi Phi, all of which have fantastic coral reefs and huge numbers of tropical fish.

​

The warm, clear waters of the Andaman Sea are the perfect place to discover a whole new world.​

​Rescue Diver

The Rescue Diver course is both a challenging and rewarding course which will change the way you look at diving forever. You will not only learn how to spot and deal with problems both underwater and on the surface calmly and with confidence, you will learn valuable self-rescue skills and develop a new sense of awareness of any potential problems with other divers around you.

An integral part of this course is being able to deliver emergency first aid, and this is taught in the Emergency First Response (EFR) course (we have courses available). This must be completed before beginning your Rescue Diver course, unless you already hold a similar qualification in emergency first aid from another organization.​

​Scuba Refresher

If you have a diving certification but have not been underwater for a while,  then we can help you get back into the water with a Refresher course. We recognize that a lot of people have not been diving for a year or two, but are reasonably confident in the water and can remember most of what they learned during their training. Thus, we offer a 'light' scuba review which can be combined with a day's fun diving on the reef.

Most of the diving around Koh Lanta is easy, with relatively shallow sites, shelter from current, good visibility and usually good weather. This is an ideal place to refresh your knowledge and review some of the basic skills of scuba diving.​

​Bubblemaker

For the little adventurous ones between 8 and 10 years old, we have a special PADI Bubblemaker program.

Children should be comfortable in the water, but they don't have to be super swimmers. With youngsters in mind, the maximum depth is only 2 meters/ 6 feet.
