Cambodia is a hot, tropical climate with average temperatures ranging during from 75 to 95ºF (24 to 35ºC) during the day.  Rainy season or the southwest monsoon blows from May to October.



Best time to visit:



November-February: Average mid-day temperatures in the mid 20s, sometime dipping below 20 at night. The monsoon rains trail off through October and November, and have usually stopped completely by mid November. These months are generally considered to be the best time of year to visit, with December and January offering the very best weather of the year across the country - comfortably warm days, clear skies, no rain, light breeze, cool evenings.

Visas:

All foreign visitors are now able to obtain a 30 day Cambodia visa upon arrival at the following ports of entry: Pochentong Airport in Phnompenh and Siemreap Airport (Angkor Wat Region) or at the Aranyapathet-Poipet and Trat-Koh Kong land borders with Thailand or the Moc Bai-Bavet land border with Vietnam.
You must have with you a photocopy of your passport, 1 (3X4 cm) photo and US$20 cash.
Cambodia Visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue (not from the date of entry) and can be extended at the Department of Immigration (opposite the Pochentong Airport) for 30 days at the cost of US $25.

 

To avoid the immigration queues at entry points, visitors can also apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) online through the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation.
